ō: the operating system for the things you own

Make more of what’s yours.

ō is a private orbit for the things you own. It gives each one a memory, shows you what your things can do together, and keeps the details that matter close by.

EACH THING

Open the thing itself

In ō you open your camera rather than a spreadsheet row about it. Each thing gets a page shaped around what it is, with its story, its instructions, the things that go with it and what you can do next.

TOGETHER

What can your things do together?

A camera, a tripod, a microphone and a desk lamp in three different drawers are already most of a recording setup. ō helps you see combinations like that, save them as kits, and set them up again whenever you need them.

Before anyone suggests buying something new, ō starts with what you already have. Each thing you add should make the others more useful, and letting one go should feel as good as adding it.

UNDERNEATH

The details underneath

Every thing also keeps the plain facts that protect it: what it cost, what it costs to keep, what covers it and who else can reach it. When a renewal, a service or the end of a warranty is coming up, ō tells you in good time.

Private, living, yours

PRIVATE
Your orbit is private by default, and you choose what to share one thing at a time. Passing something on never hands over the receipt with your address on it.
LIVING
Each detail says where it came from and when it was last checked. A photograph can suggest a model, but ō will not invent a serial number or guess where something is now.
YOURS
Start from a list you already keep, or from a photograph of one thing you care about. Your records and the files behind them stay yours, and you can take all of them with you whenever you like, in formats other tools can read.

Own your orbit.
